Dr. Chuck Hannaford
President
Dr. Chuck Hannaford is a licensed clinical psychologist with a Bible based Christ-centered private practice and is the Executive Director of HeartLife Professional Soul-Care. He has been counseling individuals, couples, and families for 27 years. He earned his doctorate from The University of North Texas and served his internship in clinical psychology at The University of Tennessee, Medical School, Division of Psychiatry,and Department of Clinical Psychology.
After completion of his internship year, Dr. Hannaford co-founded Germantown Psychological Associates, P. C. He has served as clinical director of adolescent and adult treatment programs at various hospitals and outpatient settings. In the past, he served as the president and chief executive officer of Germantown Psychological Associates, P. C., director of professional relations for the Rapha Christ Centered Treatment Program in Memphis, consultant to Bellevue Baptist Church, Germantown Baptist Church and executive director for Christian Wellness Concepts.
Dr. Hannaford has published articles in professional journals on the relationship between physical and spiritual well-being and emotional health. He co-authored HealthWay, a strategic discipleship intervention for physical, emotional, and spiritual health. He has been a guest on nationally syndicated Christian radio shows as well as local TV programs discussing biblically based counseling and the family.
In addition to his current practice, Dr. Hannaford has been a consultant to LifeWay Christian Resources, GuideStone, churches and pastors throughout the country. He is clinical professor of biblical counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and served on the Committee on Committees at the Southern Baptist Convention in 2004. Dr. Hannaford completed a book entitled, Picking Up the Pieces Handbook: Creating a Dynamic Soul Care Ministry, which was released by LifeWay Christian Resources in January of 2009. Dr. Hannaford and his wife are members of Collierville First Baptist Church in Collierville, Tennessee.
