Dr. Cyndi Jordan is a Senior Licensed Psychological Examiner – HSP, a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor – MHSP and a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor. She is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) with a special focus on children and the integration of EMDR with play therapy and sand tray therapy. She earned her undergraduate degree in religion and psychology from Baylor University and completed the teacher education program at Rhodes College. She holds a masters and a doctorate from the University of Memphis specializing in counseling, education and school psychology.
Dr. Jordan has worked for over 30 years combining her passion for education, assessment and counseling. She has provided counseling in a variety of settings – community mental health, church-based counseling center, schools (both K-12 and university) and private practice. She also has extensive experience in education having worked as a teacher, educational therapist, learning services director, disability support services director, professor, educational consultant and head of early childhood and lower school.
Dr. Jordan is the Director of Assessment at HeartLife and provides child and adult assessments for learning disabilities/differences, attention deficit disorder, giftedness, and psychological disabilities, as well as developmental assessments for early childhood. Her goal is to help students at all levels of education better understand their learning and to help them learn strategies to maximize their strengths to offset their weaknesses. As a therapist, she is passionate about working with families and children (ages 2 – 16) using play therapy. She also provides counseling for women in the areas of anxiety, life adjustment, and grief.
Dr. J’s desire is to come alongside her clients, valuing who they are, while helping them to meet life’s challenges and become all they hope to be. Her greatest hope is that they will come to personally understand the depth of God’s love, grace, and acceptance and to see themselves as beautifully and wonderfully made by our Creator. She also seeks to infuse her time with her clients with laughter and joy even as we grapple with life’s difficult issues.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dog, reading and trying new adventures.
Lauren’s life verse:

Lauren earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. After spending a few years as a professional organizer, she decided to use her organizing skills in an office environment as an office manager. She started working at HeartLife in May 2017. She is involved with her church and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys using her creativity to design and decorate as well as restore furniture.
