Lori’s life verse:

But now, this is what the Lord says — He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

– Isaiah 43:1-3

Lori earned a Master’s and Specialist’s degree in education from The University of Florida, with a primary emphasis in school psychology. Lori was a Lady Gator volleyball player (one year) and earned a scholarship to play softball (four years) for the Lady Gators. Her graduate school coursework emphases included a broad range of assessment and special education classes. Lori’s early career included serving as a school psychologist in large public school systems in three different states. After her public school work, Lori spent twenty years in private practice assessment. In that role, she worked primarily with private school students in Greensboro/High Point, NC but also provided contract testing to the public school system. She earned a reputation as a thorough and knowledgeable professional whose reports provide educational intervention recommendations that are practical in the classroom, yet uniquely tailored to the student.

Lori and her husband of over 30 years, Glenn, relocated to the Memphis area in 2011. They have an adult son, Chris, who lives in Denver, Colorado. They have found their church home at Fellowship Memphis, where Lori volunteers in the Fellowship Kids program and has co-led some women’s study/discussion groups. In her spare time, she continues her love of sports by playing competitive tennis, as well as officiating softball and tennis. Lori joined the HeartLife staff in October, 2014. She is thrilled to offer psycho-educational assessment services within the context of a loving Christian counseling practice.
