Melody is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student and intern, who is passionate about helping individuals find healing, growth, and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges. She will graduate with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Memphis in December 2026 and looks forward to continuing to support others on their journey toward emotional, relational, and spiritual wellness.

Melody's counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients develop practical tools and skills that extend beyond the counseling room. Her goal is not only to help clients work through current struggles but also to equip them with lasting strategies that promote resilience and long-term healing.

She strongly believes that true healing is holistic, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. As a believer, she views biblical truth as a foundational part of the healing process and strive to create a space where faith can be thoughtfully integrated into counseling when desired. She believes that we are all called to run our race well, and because each person’s story, strengths, and challenges are unique, counseling should be tailored to meet individual needs and goals.

Melody enjoys creating an interactive and engaging counseling experience that reflects each client’s personality and preferences. Whether that means incorporating games, hands-on activities, creative interventions, or a more traditional talk-therapy approach, she seeks to make each session meaningful, personalized, and effective.

Outside of counseling, she enjoys spending time with her husband, doing anything from hiking to trying new coffee shops in town. She also loves taking on new creative projects or finishing one of her many started paintings!
