Pricing and Payments
HeartLife is a cash-based counseling practice. Please check with our front desk staff regarding our current session fees.
Ways to Pay
We believe that everyone who needs counseling should have the opportunity to receive it.
At HeartLife, we are committed to helping remove the financial barriers that can sometimes make counseling feel out of reach. While we do not participate directly with insurance companies, many clients are still able to receive care through a variety of payment options.
Most people are surprised to learn that counseling may be more accessible than they expected. Many clients initially assume counseling will be too expensive, but after exploring options like HSA accounts, insurance reimbursement, or ministry support, they discover a path that works for them.
Payment Options:
π΅ Pay with Cash or Credit
As a fee for service practice, we accept most forms of payment such as cash, check, debit and credit.
π³ Use Your HSA or FSA
Many health insurance plans include Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). These accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars for healthcare expenses, including counseling services.
π§Ύ Use Insurance for Reimbursement
Many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits. Clients may submit a superbill to their insurance provider and receive partial reimbursement. HeartLife is happy to assist you in getting the necessary documentation to file a claim yourself.
π€ Explore Ministry Support
HeartLife partners with several churches in the area who offer benevolence to their members. Consider reaching out to your church to see if there is support offered.
π± Invest in Your Growth
Counseling is an investment in emotional, relational, and spiritual health. Many people experience growth that impacts marriage, family, work, and faith.
Why Some Counseling Centers Donβt Accept Insurance
Some counseling centers choose not to participate directly with insurance networks for several reasons.
β’ Greater privacy β Insurance companies typically require a formal diagnosis that becomes part of a permanent medical record.
β’ More personalized care β Insurance providers often limit the number of sessions allowed.
β’ Freedom to address deeper issues β Counseling can focus on long-term growth and healing.
